Washington D.C.

We went to Washington D.C. with Brandon's family over Spring Break. It was amazing! I always had this vague idea of what D.C. would look like in my head (based mostly on the National Treasure movies and School House Rocks lyrics), but I was quite surprised.

Here is the Library of Congress. Gorgeous building. Where were all the books? I remember them burning some on The Day After Tomorrow...that room must have been blocked off.

The White House! Why were there so many white minivans in the driveway? It seems like they would stick with the black SUVs, the kind Jack Bauer is always cruising in.

Georgetown! Can I live here, please? Gorgeous university, quaint little town...

...and delish cupcakes, AS SEEN ON TV! I recommend the salty caramel. Also, if you are carrying a dozen cupcakes, watch out for walls. ;-)

This was us on our Old Town Trolley ride. Kyle likes to keep his excitement on the inside. In case you are wondering, I am sporting a trendy hat I bought at the giftshop, my grandma-style Columbia jacket, and sunglasses Cameron "found" for me at Disneyland. Don't be jealous.

We got a special tour of the capital, and it pretty much rocked.

Ron Paul 2012!

The Washington D.C. temple. Quite impressive, I must say.

The Lincoln Memorial was pretty amazing. It made me want to watch Planet of the Apes for some reason.

It was a FANTASTIC trip!

Kudos for the cupcake comment. And those sunglasses were hand picked with love from the Lost & Found by the sweetest Disney Employee- They only hire the finest of all employees!!! :)

Um, Chels. I recall you watching Planet of the Apes. I recall it well. You watched it on fast forward. Just buzzed through the whole movie.
